AssureID Sentinel
AssureID Sentinel is a document identification and authentication system for Windows. It classifies, reads and authenticates identity documents, including driving licences, ID cards and passports, captured on a supported document reader. Use it when accurate document data matters: to create reliable records, to detect tampered documents, and to match text or biometrics against other sources.
What you can do
Section titled “What you can do”- Install AssureID Sentinel: the device drivers, the software and the Document Library.
- Activate a licence, on its own or through a local License Server.
- Configure the service from the system tray: duplex capture, authentication sensitivity, sounds, logging.
- Integrate it into your own application from C#, VB.NET, Visual Basic 6, C++ or Java, or over the REST API.
- Scan and check documents in Reveal ID, the application installed with AssureID Sentinel.
- Run it on an InfinitID scanner, a standalone device with no computer attached.
- See what changed in each release.
The parts
Section titled “The parts”- The AssureID service (the Document Authentication Platform, or DAP) runs as a Windows service. It drives the document reader, classifies the document against the Document Library, reads its fields and runs the authentication tests.
- The Document Library is the catalogue of document types the service recognises. It is installed with AssureID Sentinel and can be updated on its own between releases.
- Device drivers for the i-Dentify family of document readers (Thales, DESKO, ARH, Ambir and others) are installed first.
- The SDK (.NET, COM and Java libraries) and the REST API let your own application open a session with the service, trigger captures and receive the results as events.
- Reveal ID shows the results of a scan to an operator. The Document Sample Collector and the Document Library Customization tool are installed alongside.
- The AssureID License Server lets a site with no internet access activate licences through one computer.
