AssureID Connect
AssureID Connect is a web service that captures, classifies and authenticates identity documents from images: driving licences, ID cards, passports and other documents, photographed on a phone or captured on a scanner. Your application sends the images and any machine-readable data over the REST API or through the .NET SDK, and gets back the data read from the document and the results of its authentication tests. GBG hosts the service, and enterprise customers can also deploy it in their own infrastructure.
What you can do
Section titled “What you can do”- Understand how AssureID works: capture, classify, extract and authenticate, the Document Library, every authentication test, and a glossary.
- Process a document over the REST API or with the .NET SDK, following the document workflows.
- Meet the image requirements, so that documents classify and authenticate reliably.
- Test the service with the Workbench, the desktop application for integrators.
- Deploy AssureID Connect in your own infrastructure: requirements, the automated install, IIS and maintenance.
- See what changed in each release, and the API changes by version.
The parts
Section titled “The parts”- The AssureID Connect web service receives the images and data for a document instance, classifies the document against the Document Library, extracts its fields and runs the authentication tests. It answers over HTTPS with Basic authentication, in XML or JSON.
- The REST API and the .NET Web SDK are the two ways to integrate: call the REST interface directly, or use the .NET classes that wrap it.
- The AssureID Document Library is the catalogue of document types the service recognises. It is released separately, so new document types arrive without a new version of the service.
- The Workbench submits captured images and data to the service and shows the results, with no code to write.
- Optional services: GBG Manual Review for a human review of a document, with webhooks that report its progress, and AssureID Face and Ozone in the combined workflow.
