Installing the Document Library

AssureID Connect no longer includes an embedded Document Library. You can take advantage of more frequent Document Library updates without updating your AssureID Connect software. See the following sections for installing and updating the Document Library.

Install the AssureID Document Library

  1. Go to https://gbgamericas.my.site.com/support.

  2. Download the AssureID Document Library zip file, for example: AssureID_Document_Library_XX.XX.XX.XX**.zip**

  3. Unzip the file.

  4. Modify the ConnectSettings.xml file to point to the Document Library location. For example:

    <ConnectDocumentLibrary>c:\AssureIDDocumentLibrary\DocumentLibrary.bak
    </ConnectDocumentLibrary

To update the Document Library on an application server where the AssureID Connect web service is already installed and hosted, use the following update procedure.

Update an existing AssureID Document Library

  1. Go to https://gbgamericas.my.site.com/support.

  2. Download the AssureID Document Library zip file, for example: AssureID_Document_Library_XX.XX.XX.XX**.zip**

  3. Unzip the file.

  4. Stop IIS.

    Note: The server will be offline during this next step.

  5. Replace the AssureID Document Library file with the new Document Library file you downloaded in the location specified for ConnectDocumentLibrary in the ConnectSettings.xml file.

  6. Restart IIS.

  7. Open a browser window and go to http(s)://localhost/assureidservice/ping to make sure you see the correct updated Document Library version number in the output.
