What do FDE’s offer?

At GBG IDscan, documents are our passion.

Our team of Forensic Document Experts (FDE) continually carries out research about identity documents used worldwide, expanding our knowledge and expertise, helping build and maintain the world’s largest document authentication library.

The main focus of the FDE’s is to professionally assists and validate identity documents for IDscan customers. This ensures that they are able to successfully conduct their business while being confident that the person they are dealing with is who they say they are.

The FDE’s are typically there for the occasions when the document doesn’t give a pass result on the IDscan systems but instead gives the customer a refer/fail decision.

This can happen for a number of various reasons such as glare or blurred scanned images, the document being dirty or overexposed to the light. In some cases the capture journey may give refer/fail decision if a document is not successfully recognised or because it is counterfeit.
