  • Different capture channels are supported by one backend instance. It is possible to submit documents to one instance of IEOS backend from the channels below:
    • Mobile Channel
    • Web Channel
    • Scanner Channel
  • Added an ability to restrict the data access to specific user groups.
    • It can be enabled if authentication mode is LDAP.
    • There are admin portal configurations to enable and disable the multi-tenancy.
    • If a user belongs to more than one group, the first group alphabetically from A-Z will be considered and connect to that tenant database.
  • Added support for including site, location and LDAP user group to scanner terminal mapping.
    • Users from the selected LDAP group can connect to the mapped scanner.
    • Ability to map a scanner/terminal to a site and a location/branch.

Release v8.1.0 – 2018-06-25:

IEOS Backend Services:

  • Backend settings can now be configured from the admin portal. Admin portal is restricted to SuperAdministrator access. Customers can import their existing backend settings to admin portal.
  • Authentication tolerance levels can now be applied for specific document types. If applied, this tolerance overrides the global tolerance level.
  • With Full Edition license, a chat with an IDScan FDE is automatically initiated on Capture Studio when an identity document is Referred, Expired or Not Supported.
    • The IDScan FDE will have access only to the journey for which it is initiated and override the outcome.
    • The chat can also be manually initiated from Investigation Studio.
    • The chat transcript will be available for review on Investigation Studio.
    • This feature requires https.
  • Liveness detection is now part of the onboarding journey workflow.
    • It can be enabled from the admin portal.
    • It must be enabled only when using MJCS. When enabled, face matching will be performed within liveness detection.
    • If liveness detection is performed in MJCS, the final outcome (failed/passed) will be available for review on Investigation Studio.
    • Enabling liveness with WJCS or Capture Studio will result in prematurely ending journeys with an “Undefined” journey outcome.
  • A new IDES2 engine will be used to process POA/A4 documents instead of the old Semantic Engine.
    • This engine can classify all supported UK and Irish bank & utility documents.
    • This engine will extract the standard KYC fields like Name, Address & Issue date along with Issuer name if we can detect an issuer logo on the document.
  • When uploading identity documents using Capture Studio or WJCS, digital tampering checks are applied.
    • The results can be seen on Investigation Studio along with a heat map of the original image with a colour legend indicating tampered regions on the document.
    • The final outcome of digital tampering is also available in the API response.
  • The default identity document processing engine is configured to be IDES in the database. This can be changed to IDES2.
  • Digital tampering will be disabled from trusted capture channels like mobile & 3M scanner.
  • The face matching engine will now be invoked from an API The URL with credentials need to be configured on admin portal.
  • Set IsExtracted field to false when uploading pdf files from Capture Studio.
  • Fix to make authentication work on a load balanced environment with https.
